Containing black-and-white photographs of bunkers shot in 2012 in France and Albania, the photographs document the remains of France's D-Day bunkers from World War II and some of the nearly 700,000 bunkers built during the Cold War in Albania. In the book, the shelters are removed from their original context and represented as sandy ruins now overlooked by tourists, hidden by the surrounding growth.
